In its decision of 16 July 2020, Case C-311/18 ("Schrems II"), the European Court of Justice (ECJ) declared the European Commission's adequacy decision on the EU-US Privacy Shield (Privacy Shield Decision 2016/1250) invalid. A level of data protection essentially comparable to European data protection standards does not exist for the USA. Consequently, a valid adequacy decision of the European Commission with regard to a transfer
of personal data to the USA within the meaning of Article 45 (1), (3) of the GDPR does not exist. Furthermore, there are no so-called appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Article 46 (2) and (3) of the GDPR. Possible risks of such data transfers without an adequacy decision and
without appropriate safeguards result in particular from the fact that an adequate level of data protection cannot be guaranteed. The provider may have to grant government authorities access to the personal data processed. Personal data may therefore be passed on to third parties who
process or use the data for their own purposes. Data subjects' rights may not be enforced.
The DPS GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2022 also be using the online video tool ZOOM. Insofar as you call up the website of "Zoom", the provider of "Zoom" is responsible for the data processing.
However, calling up the website is only necessary for the use of "Zoom" in order to download the software for the use of "Zoom". Further information on the privacy policy of ZOOM can be found here: https://zoom.us/privacy

The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR.
We process and store your personal data only for the period of time required to achieve the purpose of storage. If the purpose of storage ceases to apply, the personal data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR in conjunction with & 19 BDSG). You can revoke your consent to the processing of personal data at any time. Please note that the revocation is only effective for the future.
